we ran for the whale sharks

Makapal ang mukha ko. Haha I ran the Condura Run ’09 without training and as a “reward” I got my slowest 5k time. This is humiliating? Results will be published in The Philippine Star.
Humiliating as it is, the race was real good. I enjoyed that new route around Global City. Kudos to the Concepcion brothers. The atmosphere was very festive and Jollibee’s whole gang was there and I did not let the opportunity pass by without my picture being taken with the four fingered mascot.
( It was just last year when I realized that Jollibee only has four fingers and up to now I still can’t get over it. )

With all the freebies out there what I really wanted to have was The Bull Runner Magazine and yes I was able to have not one, not two, but three copies! Yey! I joined TBR’s contest and my mind was battling if i would answer TBR or Sen. Pia but I opted to answer TBR and when I saw the tarp of the magazine, it was Sen. Pia! Oh well, better luck next time. As I was waiting for the release of the magazine, Aryan and I decided to have our pictures taken with every mascot we see and at the Canon board with nice pictures of whale sharks taken by Gutsy Tuason. We even had our pictures printed for free at the Canon booth. I was not expecting a good quality print of my picture because I am not so much a fan of those very convenient picture printers but I was glad to see that the print was nice. It was very funny when we saw Rovilson Fernandez and girls were flocking at him for photo ops and my friend wanted to have hers so I said I’ll take their picture but she said I go first and so I did even though I was not really eager to have a picture with him. ( If it was Marc Nelson, I would really go there without being told. ) While I was having my picture taken, the host was calling Rovilson and so my dear friend was not able to have a picture with him, we shared a good laugh after.

And as the heat goes on, I was hoping to see someone but I can’t locate that person until we decided to get out of the area. When we were on our way to the parking lot, I saw the person I was looking for and pointed him to Aryan. It was “mr. snob”. I fled the area with a smile and after that we had our stomachs filled at McDonald’s.
X: there was only one water station, it was ok, though it was my first time to encounter a single water station in a 5k
